On Wednesday, September 23, 2020, the fifth edition of the FLOR Diversity Awards was held for the first time in a virtual format, honoring organizations that manage diversity as part of their strategy. The ceremony was followed by nearly a thousand people who connected freely from all over the country and was hosted by host and FLOR collaborator Agustina Torchio Grobocopatel<\/strong> alongside the host, journalist, and lawyer of Korean origin Jin Yi Hwang<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>

Nominees, finalists, jurors, and guests from all sectors were present in the streaming during a major event where each organization showcased its commitment to Diversity through audiovisual material.<\/p><\/p>

The winners:<\/p>

In the LATAM category, a special mention was awarded to Grupo LILA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

In the PUBLIC SECTOR category, the winner was the Municipality of Gobernador Ingeniero Valent\u00edn Virasoro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

In the NGOs category, Fundaci\u00f3n Gran Chaco<\/strong> was the winner, after sharing the finalist shortlist with Biblioteca Popular La C\u00e1rcova<\/strong> and Fundaci\u00f3n L\u00edderes de Ansenuza<\/strong>. Additionally, a special mention was awarded to Fundaci\u00f3n Encontrarse en la Diversidad para la Educaci\u00f3n Intercultural<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

In the SME category, the award went to Residencia Asistida SA<\/strong>. ESET Latinoam\u00e9rica<\/strong> and Gr\u00e1fica Latina SRL<\/strong> completed the finalist shortlist. There were also special mentions for Ikigai SRL<\/strong> and S\u00edntesis Biol\u00f3gica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Finally, in the LARGE ENTERPRISE category, the top honor went to Banco Santander<\/strong>, with Biosidus<\/strong> and Globant<\/strong> as fellow finalists.<\/p>\n\n

The entire selection process was audited by the international consulting firm BDO<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>

In this way, once again, Fundaci\u00f3n FLOR continues to recognize organizations that are conscious of the challenges presented by today's world and that work to transmit those same values to others, enabling them to be part of a transformation toward a more just and inclusive society.<\/p><\/p>

About FLOR Foundation<\/p>

FLOR was founded in 2012 by Andrea Grobocopatel<\/strong> as a space dedicated to promoting solid institutions with good governance practices that, by managing diversity, are sustainable\u2014thus contributing to a better world for future generations. FLOR develops various initiatives framed within four thematic pillars: Diversity, Responsible Organizations, Leadership, and Local Development<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>

Once again, Fundaci\u00f3n FLOR held the FLOR Diversity Awards at the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange, with the purpose of promoting diversity management within organizations.<\/p><\/p>

In its third consecutive year, Fundaci\u00f3n FLOR expands its mission with a commitment to fostering value for diversity and inclusion.<\/p><\/p>

The Foundation for Leadership and Responsible Organizations (FLOR)<\/strong> held the FLOR Diversity Awards, joined by more than 200 people, including business and organizational leaders from various sectors and industries, social organizations, and civil associations, special guests, and the entire FLOR Network, who year after year say \"yes\" to a more just and inclusive society that finds its greatest wealth in diversity.<\/p><\/p>

This award was established to foster Diversity Management and recognize the significant efforts many organizations are already undertaking to move toward a more inclusive path. Many organizations have already begun working to create and develop a culture that values differences and embraces the richness of every person within their community. Today, some of these organizations serve as examples of this pursuit and open their doors to share how they do it.<\/p><\/p>

Many organizations applied for this award to share and describe in detail the strategies they are developing to manage diversity. Furthermore, they shared the policies and actions implemented within their organizations to ensure that individuals can grow in an environment that embraces a plurality of perspectives, abilities, opinions, ideas, preferences, and gender.<\/p><\/p>

Some of these steps include the creation of new internal policies, the implementation of programs aimed at fostering\u2014for example\u2014the promotion of more women into decision-making roles, the incorporation of employees with disabilities, training programs, and debate or support networks for specific topics. There are increasingly more strategies helping to achieve the ultimate goal: becoming a more inclusive society.<\/p><\/p>

The Jury of Honor, composed of Daniel Arroyo<\/strong> (National Representative), Luis Ovsejevich<\/strong> (Founder and President of Fundaci\u00f3n Konex), Bernardo Kosacoff<\/strong> (Economist, Professor at the University of Buenos Aires and Di Tella University), Fabiana Tu\u00f1ez<\/strong> (Executive Director of INAM), Lucas Utrera<\/strong> (Director of Sustainability at SMS Latinoam\u00e9rica), Laura Gaidulewickz<\/strong> (Founder and Director of Binden Group), Alejandro Melamed<\/strong> (Managing Director of Humanize Consulting), and Andrea Grobocopatel<\/strong> (President of Fundaci\u00f3n FLOR), met to thoroughly evaluate each case and select the winners. The entire process was audited by the international consulting firm BDO<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>

La ceremonia fue seguida por casi mil personas que se conectaron libremente desde todo el pa\u00eds y fue conducida por la locutora y colaboradora de FLOR Agustina Torchio Grobocopatel y la locutora, periodista y abogada de origen coreano Jin Yi Hwang. En el streaming estuvieron presentes postulados, finalistas, jurados e invitados de todos los sectores en un gran evento donde cada organizaci\u00f3n expuso con material audiovisual su compromiso con la Diversidad. Los ganadores En la categoria Latam, hubo una menci\u00f3n especial para Grupo LILA.En la categoria Sector P\u00fablico el ganador fue la Municipalidad Gobernador Ingeniero Valent\u00edn Virasoro (ganador)En ONG\u2019s La Fundaci\u00f3n Gran Chaco fue la ganadora, luego de compartir terna con la Biblioteca Popular La C\u00e1rcova y la Fundaci\u00f3n L\u00edderes de Ansenuza. Adem\u00e1s se realiz\u00f3 una menci\u00f3n especial para Fundaci\u00f3n Encontrarse en la Diversidad para la Educaci\u00f3n InterculturalEn la categorya Pymes el premio fue para Residencia Asistida SA. Este premio naci\u00f3 para fomentar la Gesti\u00f3n de la Diversidad y reconocer el gran trabajo que muchas organizaciones ya est\u00e1n llevando adelante para crecer hacia un camino de mayor inclusi\u00f3n. Muchas organizaciones ya comenzaron a trabajar para crear y desarrollar una cultura que d\u00e9 valor a las diferencias y que incluya la riqueza que hay en cada persona que forma parte de ese comunidad. Algunas organizaciones hoy son ejemplo de esta b\u00fasqueda y nos abren sus puertas para contarnos c\u00f3mo lo hacen. Muchas organizaciones que se postularon a este premio para contar y describir detalladamente cuales son las estrategias que est\u00e1n desarrollando para gestionar la diversidad. Adem\u00e1s compartieron aquellas pol\u00edticas y acciones que llevan adelante en el interior de su organizaci\u00f3n para que las personas puedan desarrollarse en un entorno que contemple la pluralidad de perspectivas, capacidades, opiniones, ideas, preferencias y g\u00e9nero. Algunos pasos son la creaci\u00f3n de nuevas pol\u00edticas internas, la implementaci\u00f3n de programas que buscan fomentar por ejemplo la promoci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s mujeres en lugares de decisi\u00f3n, la incorporaci\u00f3n de empleados con discapacidad, programas de capacitaci\u00f3n, redes de debate o contenci\u00f3n en tem\u00e1ticas espec\u00edficas y cada vez son m\u00e1s las estrategias que ayudan a lograr el prop\u00f3sito m\u00e1s grande que es el de convertirnos en una sociedad m\u00e1s inclusiva.
