On September 21, 2021, the Foundation for Responsible Leadership and Organizations (FLOR) celebrated its ninth anniversary with the announcement of the winning organizations of the sixth edition of the Diversity Awards. The NGO led by Andrea Grobocopatel<\/strong> recognizes through this initiative those organizations that work in an integral, equitable, and diverse manner, with good practices and values toward a more just and inclusive society.<\/p><\/p>

\u201cBeing responsible is closely linked to diversity (\u2026). For FLOR, responsibility in leadership and organizations means COMMITMENT: to the environment, to good governance practices, and to the people inside and outside of organizations (\u2026)\u201d stated Andrea<\/strong> during the ceremony. It is in this last point where diversity comes into play: \u201cbeing responsible means that the more diverse people we are together, the more we will enrich one another.\u201d<\/p><\/p>

The ceremony was held virtually live and was hosted by host and FLOR collaborator Agustina Torchio Grobocopatel<\/strong> and writer Valeria Schapira<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>

The organizations were evaluated by an Honorary Jury composed of Ana In\u00e9s Alvarez<\/strong> (Executive Director of Fundaci\u00f3n AVON), Carlos Magari\u00f1os<\/strong> (Pro-Secretary of Fundaci\u00f3n FLOR), Gala Diaz Langou<\/strong> (Executive Director of CIPPEC), Kurt Frieder<\/strong> (President of Fundaci\u00f3n Hu\u00e9sped), Laura Gaidulewicz<\/strong> (Director of Binden Group), Sergio Kaufman<\/strong> (President of Accenture), and Tet\u00e9 Coustarot<\/strong> (journalist). This jury defined the finalists and winners for each category, as well as the special mentions for the LATAM category, where mentions are awarded as the highest recognition. Additionally, several organizations that did not make the finalist shortlists were recognized for specific standout<\/p>

In the LATAM category, the highest recognition\u2014a special mention\u2014was awarded to Banco BHD Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, for their gender policies and actions aimed at the empowerment of Dominican women, and to Fundaci\u00f3n Paraguaya<\/strong>, for their work regarding inclusion and gender equity practices, as well as their policies to prevent workplace harassment.<\/p><\/p>

In the PUBLIC SECTOR category, a special mention was awarded to Centro Verde Ecofem<\/strong>, while the finalist and winner positions remained vacant. This organization was recognized for its commitment to labor inclusion, being a space operated entirely by women\u2014including trans women\u2014from vulnerable sectors.<\/p><\/p>

The three exemplary NGOs in diversity management were: Asociaci\u00f3n Civil de Mujeres en Tecnolog\u00eda<\/strong>, Fundaci\u00f3n Discar<\/strong>, and Fundaci\u00f3n Visibilia<\/strong>. The latter received the FLOR Award for its work in including people with disabilities through its accessible reading editorial projects and creating a bridge to the labor market. Additionally, a special mention was awarded to Asociaci\u00f3n Civil Cascos Verdes<\/strong> for integrating people with intellectual disabilities by providing them with a space to educate and support organizations on environmental issues.<\/p><\/p>

In the SME category, the three organizations that presented the best inclusive practices were: Broker Andino<\/strong>, Grupo Advance<\/strong>, and Win&Winnow Language Services<\/strong>. The winner was Grupo Advance<\/strong>, recognized for its work in including individuals from various minorities as a priority in its business strategy. A special mention was also awarded to Socompa<\/strong>, an inclusive tourism company that faced the pandemic through diversity.<\/p><\/p>

Finally, in the LARGE ENTERPRISE category, IBM Argentina<\/strong>, Johnson & Johnson Argentina<\/strong>, and Arca Continental (Salta Refrescos)<\/strong> were the three organizations that stood out the most in terms of diversity. Johnson & Johnson<\/strong> was chosen as the winner for its global and local commitment to diversity as a key factor for innovation and business purpose. Additionally, Syngenta Agro<\/strong> was recognized with a special mention for reviewing its seed multiplication process from a gender and employment perspective, hiring women for this task for the first time.<\/p><\/p>

\u201cThe FLOR Awards are a recognition for those organizations that are examples of integration and diversity management,\u201d stated Andrea Grobocopatel<\/strong>. \u201cThe issue of diversity is not a dispensable item on our to-do list (\u2026). Society can address it while resolving all the issues it considers urgent, because diversity is always present: through a diversity of perspectives, we will achieve better solutions to our problems. Para FLOR la responsabilidad en los liderazgos y en las organizaciones es COMPROMISO: con el medioambiente, con las buenas pr\u00e1cticas de gobierno y con las personas dentro y fuera de las organizaciones (\u2026)\u201d manifest\u00f3 Andrea durante la ceremonia. Es en este \u00faltimo punto donde la diversidad entra en juego \u201cser responsable tiene que ver con que cuantas m\u00e1s personas distintas estemos juntas, m\u00e1s nos enriqueceremos\u201d. La ceremonia se realiz\u00f3 de manera virtual en vivo y fue conducida por la locutora y colaboradora de FLOR Agustina Torchio Grobocopatel y la escritora Valeria Schapira. Las organizaciones fueron evaluadas por un Jurado de Honor compuesto por Ana In\u00e9s Alvarez \u2013 Directora Ejecutiva de Fundaci\u00f3n AVON-, Carlos Magari\u00f1os \u2013 Prosecretario de Fundaci\u00f3n FLOR-, Gala Diaz Langou -Directora Ejecutiva de CIPPEC-, Kurt Frieder \u2013 Presidente de Fundaci\u00f3n Hu\u00e9sped-, Laura Gaidulewicz \u2013 Directora de Binden Group-, Sergio Kaufman \u2013 Presidente de Accenture-, y Tet\u00e9 Coustarot -periodista-, quienes definieron las ternas y ganadores de cada una de las categor\u00eda, como as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n las menciones especiales para la categor\u00eda LATAM en la cual se entregan menciones como reconocimiento m\u00e1ximo. Adem\u00e1s, se reconocieron a algunas organizaciones que, si bien no entraron en las ternas, se destacaron por alguna pr\u00e1ctica determinada. El proceso de selecci\u00f3n fue enteramente auditado por la consultora internacional BDO. En la categor\u00eda LATAM, el m\u00e1ximo reconocimiento -menci\u00f3n especial- fue otorgado al Banco BHD Le\u00f3n, por las pol\u00edticas de g\u00e9nero y acciones que desarrollan en pos del empoderamiento de la mujer dominicana, y a Fundaci\u00f3n Paraguaya, por su trabajo en materia de inclusi\u00f3n y sus pr\u00e1cticas de equidad de g\u00e9nero, como as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n sus pol\u00edticas para prevenir el acoso laboral. En la categor\u00eda SECTOR P\u00daBLICO, se otorg\u00f3 una menci\u00f3n especial al Centro Verde Ecofem, quedando vacantes los puestos en la terna y el puesto ganador. Esta organizaci\u00f3n fue reconocida por su prop\u00f3sito de inclusi\u00f3n laboral, siendo un espacio operado en su totalidad por mujeres, algunas de ellas trans, que provienen de sectores vulnerados. Las tres ONGs ejemplares en la gesti\u00f3n de la diversidad fueron: la Asociaci\u00f3n Civil de Mujeres en Tecnolog\u00eda, Fundaci\u00f3n Discar y Fundaci\u00f3n Visibilia. \u00c9sta \u00faltima recibi\u00f3 el Premio FLOR por su trabajo de inclusi\u00f3n de personas con discapacidad, a partir de su trabajo editorial de lectura accesible y generando un nexo con el mercado laboral. Adem\u00e1s, se otorg\u00f3 una menci\u00f3n especial a la Asociaci\u00f3n Civil Cascos Verdes, por integrar a las personas con discapacidad intelectual otorg\u00e1ndoles un espacio para educar y acompa\u00f1ar a las organizaciones en temas medioambientales. En la categor\u00eda PyMEs, las tres organizaciones que presentaron las mejores pr\u00e1cticas inclusivas fueron las siguientes: Broker Andino, Grupo Advance y Win&Winnow Language Services. La ganadora fue Grupo Advance, por su trabajo de inclusi\u00f3n de personas de diversas minor\u00edas, como su prioridad en la estrategia de negocios. Tambi\u00e9n se otorg\u00f3 una menci\u00f3n especial a Socompa, una empresa de turismo inclusiva que le hace frente a la pandemia a trav\u00e9s de la diversidad. Por \u00faltimo, en la categor\u00eda GRANDES EMPRESAS IBM Argentina, Johnson&Johnson Argentina y Arca Continental (Salta Refrescos) fueron las tres organizaciones que m\u00e1s se destacaron en materia de diversidad. Johnson&Johnson fue elegida ganadora por su compromiso global y local con la diversidad, como un factor clave para la innovaci\u00f3n y el prop\u00f3sito del negocio. Adem\u00e1s, se reconoci\u00f3 a Syngenta Agro con una menci\u00f3n especial, por la revisi\u00f3n de su proceso de multiplicaci\u00f3n de semillas desde una perspectiva de g\u00e9nero y empleo, contratando mujeres para esta tarea por primera vez. \u201cLos Premios FLOR son un reconocimiento a aquellas organizaciones que son ejemplos de integraci\u00f3n, de gesti\u00f3n de la diversidad\u201d afirm\u00f3 Andrea Grobocopatel. \u201cLa cuesti\u00f3n de la diversidad no es un \u00edtem prescindible de nuestra lista de pendientes (\u2026).
